Ty first discovered backcountry skiing at the age of 12 on the eastern flanks of Mt. Washington in North Central, NH. Since then, he like many others before him, have dedicated themself to the pursuit of skiing in all forms, shapes, and sizes. Although his travels have brought him to many special and powerful places around the world, he now currently calls Bozeman Montana home.
In addition to his passion for skiing, he is equally passionate about his career as an Outdoor Educator. He started instructing for the Colorado Outward Bound School in 2011, and has been hooked ever since. It is through Outward Bound that he feels that he can truly create change in the world, and share with others the extraordinary power of wild spaces.
In 2015-2016, he also worked as the first generation of field instructors for the Montana Wilderness School.
